Freshwater Lake

Lough Gill

Lough Gill, meaning bright or radiant lake, is a beautiful freshwater lough spanning counties Sligo and Leitrim. Paddle your way around the lake taking in picturesque views of the surrounding Hazelwood woodlands, and visit its many historic islands, including the Isle of Innisfree made famous by W.B. Yeats.

Doorly Park

Just a 15 minute walk from Sligo town centre, Doorly Park was once a wetland and is now a semi-wild landscaped park. Paddle along the beautiful banks of the Garavogue River as it flows out from Lough Gill, winds through Sligo town and opens into Sligo Bay, with spectacular views the whole way.

Bonnet River

Paddle the calm winding waters of the River Bonnet, admiring the beautiful forestry and wildlife on both sides as you glide downstream. The river carries you out onto Lough Gill, where you are met with breathtaking views of Parkes Castle in its picturesque green setting.

Glencar Lake

Glencar Lake offers spectacular views of its surrounding forests and mountains. Take in the scenery while paddling across the lake, passing the Devil's Chimney, Ireland's tallest waterfall, and Glencar's famous waterfall which inspired W.B. Yeats.

Lissadell

Located 8 km north of Sligo town, Lissadell is one of our most loved spots. Take in breathtaking views of its sandy beach, Benbulben mountain and the famous Lissadell House while you paddle the clear, sheltered waters.

Streedagh

Often called Ireland's best-kept secret, Streedagh Beach is where three ships of the Spanish Armada ran aground in 1588. It offers amazing views of Benbulben, Slieve League and Inishmurray Island, and dolphins are regular visitors during the summer months.

Mullaghmore

Mullaghmore is a small fishing village in north Sligo where the sandy beach stretches as far as the eye can see. Enjoy magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Dartry Mountains and Mullaghmore Harbour, all beneath the monolithic shape of Benbulben.

Raghley Harbour offers fantastic views of Rosses Point, Sligo Bay, Benbulben and Knocknarea. Home to local fishing boats and a wide variety of birds and sea life, it is also our gateway to some unforgettable sea cave paddling on calm days.

Rosses Point

Rosses Point is a popular seaside resort with three sandy beaches. Take in spectacular views of the beach, pier and lighthouse, with Knocknarea to the south and Benbulben to the north, all while paddling its tranquil blue waters.
